Grocery store operator Żabka Polska plans to spend zł.1.5 billion on expansion in the years 2013-2017. In 2013, the company will spend zł.200,000 on opening about 400 new stores. By 2017, it expects to increase the number of stores to 5,000 from the current 3,000.
The company is also planning acquisitions. Expansion will be financed from the company's own funds and by its majority shareholder, private equity fund Mid Europa Partners.
