Tesco and PKN ORLEN are testing a new convenience store format. The plan is to create 10 Tesco Express at selected Orlen service stations in Warsaw, Lodz and Krakow. The test programme will last for one year.

Tesco Express stores at Orlen stations will not only feature a brand new interior, but also a much expanded range, including fresh fruits and vegetables.

In the world, the Tesco Express format (convenience stores of up to 200 m2) is used in 1,672 outlets; a number which grew last year with the addition of 125 new stores.
