Groupe Casino has commenced the launch of its newest retail platform, Casino Shop, a convenience-store chain that will operate in urban areas in France, AC-Franchise.com reports.

The supermarket format has been designed for urban dwellers. The retail experience is intended to be fast, easy and convenient for the shopper.

The supermarkets will sell Groupe Casino’s private-label goods, organic foods, fresh produce, and lunchtime foods. Each is also equipped with an in-store bakery, as well as recycling units for bulbs and batteries.
